About Insurer
Age Limits:
- Pets need to be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
- New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
- After enrollment, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Plan Coverage:
- There is a 10%, 20% or 30% co-pay (depending on chosen plan), after your annual deductible.
- Pay-out amount is based on your vet bill.
Annual Payout Limits:
- Limit of $2,000, $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000. All based on your chosen plan.
Annual Deductible:
- $100-$1,000.
Waiting Period:
- Plan coverage begins after 48 hours for accidents.
- There is a policy waiting period of 14 days that applies to illness claims.
Exclusions:
- Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
- Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
- Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
- Main plan covers alternative treatments such as homeopathic, acupuncture and chiropractic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
